Multiply began as a vision for unity on the campus of UNCC. A group of Campus Ministers met together and discussed what it would look like for all of the campus ministries to be unified.

What was decided was this: there are a lot of things that we have a hard time agreeing on (ex. theology), but, there is one thing we can all agree on and that is prayer. We need to pray for our campus.

And so Multiply was birthed.

The name Multiply comes from 2 Samuel 24:25 which says,

"The Lord was moved by prayer for the land, and the plague was held back..."

The word moved in the greek can be translated as multiply.

We understand our mission is to increase the level of prayer on campus, for the campus. Our prayers MUST be multiplied. And when our prayers are multiplied God will be moved.

So, multiply is a group of individuals from several campus ministries that have a heart for our campus and have decided that we MUST pray! We must pray on behalf of our campus. And as David did in 2 Samuel 24, we must pray that God would move on our campus and show mercy to our campus.
